Karan Johar: I would like to be a parent. I feel the paternal instinct needs to be acted upon

Filmmaker Karan Johar‘s autobiography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’ was finally launched by his best friend superstar Shah Rukh Khan. He has co-authored the book with Poonam Saxena, who is the editor of a leading daily’s weekly supplement. His autobiography has already garnered lots of attention thanks to the honest confessions made by the man in it. From his sexual orientation, fight with Kajol and Kareena Kapoor Khan to his equation with Shah Rukh Khan, he has bared it all in the book.

At the book launch, he spoke candidly about parenting. He said, “I would like to be a parent. I don’t know in what capacity, I don’t know how it’s going to happen, I don’t have answers to those questions. But I do feel the need because I have love to offer. Since it (love) is there, I would like to take it forward. I feel the paternal instinct needs to be acted upon. I feel there is so much within me and the love has to have a release, it is not going into a relationship, it goes to my mother, friends, company.”

Saif Ali Khan: Kareena Kapoor makes her own money and is free to do what she wants with it

Kareena Kapoor Khan sure could be called as trend setter. Be it fashion or her marriage or her pregnancy, Kareena has broken the stereotype at every given instance. He was quoted saying, “We are artistes and rules don’t apply to us. I’m happy she set an example but whether others can follow it or not is a different story. Kareena could do it because at home nobody tells her what to do, rather everyone supports her decisions. She makes her own money and is free to do what she wants with it. Being financially independent is the crux of her freedom. As they say, he who gives money makes the rules.”

Twist in ‘Kaabil’ release, Hrithik Roshan-starrer will now release on 25th January morning slot

It is a ‘Kahaani mein twist’ moment again! The Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam-starrer was earlier set to hit the theatres on 25th January, in the morning. However, the makers have now decided to shift it to the morning slot, on the same day. This means, ‘Kaabil’ will release on 25th morning itself, without averting a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’.

Confirmed! Sanjay Dutt’s onscreen daughter in his comeback movie ‘Bhoomi’ will be Aditi Rao Hydari

Actor Sanjay Dutt‘s comeback movie ‘Bhoomi’ has finally got a leading lady in the form of Aditi Rao Hydari. Earlier, we had heard the names of many actresses like Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sayyeshaa Saigal who were being considered for the role of the leading lady, i.e. the onscreen daughter of Sanjay Dutt.

The director Omung Kumar has confirmed the news. He said, “We shortlisted Aditi because she’s in a good space right now. I love the way she emotes. This, unlike her other projects, will be her film. She’s a relatively untapped actress. The father-daughter relationship is an important aspect of the narrative in this revenge drama. Aditi’s face perfectly blends softness with a lot of strength. Besides, I like to team up people, who seem unlikely to be cast together, in my movies.”

Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan are too cute in this new still from ‘Behen Hogi Teri’

The makers of ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ have unveiled a new still from the movie and it depicts the cute chemistry between actors Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan.


In the picture, we see the two actors in a fun conversation and they look damn cute together. The cast is shooting the movie in Lucknow right now. Shruti said, “The producer Amul, my director Ajay, co-stars and the entire crew has been great to work with. The energy on set is palpable and is always upbeat and encouraging despite the biting cold we shoot in Lucknow (smiles). It’s a lovely story and I do hope people like it as much we do as a team.”

Akshaye Khanna out, Paresh Rawal in as Sunil Dutt in Sanjay Dutt’s Biopic

Almost a month back we had confirmed that Akshaye Khanna will be playing the role of Late Sunil Dutt in the biopic of Sanjay Dutt, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. However, seems like that is not going to be the case after all. The role has now landed in the kitty of Paresh Rawal and here we are going to tell you why.


The makers were very keen to cast Akshaye as his camaraderie looked good with Ranbir, who will be playing the titular role of Sanjay Dutt. But, no matter how much they tried, they could not make Akshaye look even remotely like Sunil Dutt, and hence, after many exasperating trials, he was dropped amicably from the movie.

After Jacqueline Fernandez and Sushant Singh Rajput giving a sensual performance of this song, we have got our hands on a video of Salman Khan’s alleged girlfriend Iulia Vantur dancing on the same. Sushant Singh Rajput starts preparing for his next, shares a video from a flight simulator

After donning the hat of a cricketer in ‘M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story’, Sushant Singh Rajput is set to essay the role of an astronaut in the film called ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’. Directed by Sanjay P Chauhan, the film will also have Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing a pivotal role. Sushant has begun preparing for the same and today, he learnt his lesson on how to ride an aircraft.


Sushant took to his Instagram page to share a video from inside the cockpit of a base simulator. The video looks fun and seems like Sushant is loving his part of being the man behind the wheels. With the ease he is functioning inside the cockpit, looks like Sushant is a quick learner.

A source close to a web portal says, “She plays a nagging wife who is embarrassed by her husband’s concern with her menstrual cycles. She threatens to leave him if he doesn’t get over his obsession with her and other women’s periods. When he doesn’t, she leaves him, but don’t worry, the light-hearted film has a happy ending.”

Here’s what Taapsee Pannu has to say on not getting nominated for ‘PINK’

It’s the season of awards but like every year, this time too some celebs have had to experience the feeling of being left out in terms of no nominations, leave aside the winning part. Actress Taapsee Pannu who gave a fabulous performance in Shoojit Sircar’s hard-hitting courtroom drama ‘PINK’ got a positive response from the audiences and critics, but her performance went unnoticed at awards shows this year. She didn’t win an award for her stellar act and in some award shows, she didn’t even receive a nomination.

Speaking on the same, Taapsee said that she has got used to being ignored at award shows. Taapsee spoke to a leading web portal, “My performance in ‘Pink’ has gone unrecognized by all the awards functions this year. So, let’s not point fingers at any one awards’ organizers. I am used to being ignored for awards. My aim is become a favourite among the audiences. Awards are not as important as audiences’ approval of the work I’m doing.”

Salman Khan reacts to his acquittal in Arms Act, says thank you for support

The Jodhpur Court acquitted Salman Khan in the Arms Act case of 1998. Salman has received a huge relief as the sword of getting prisoned was hanging on him for almost 18 years. Finally, he has got some relief and has thanked all his fans for the support.


After his visit to Jodhpur court, Salman took to Twitter to thank everyone who stood by him and supported him.

Salman Khan’s case verdict out: Jodhpur court acquits the actor in the Arms Act case

The Jodhpur court has pronounced its verdict in the illegal Arms Act against actor Salman Khan. The actor has been acquitted in the case as the court has given him a benefit of doubt.

The actor was accused of killing two endangered species in the 1998 Arms Act under the Wildlife Protection Act. Earlier, his case for poaching of two chinkaras had been dropped, but the main and final verdict was to be out today and the actor walked out of the court a free man.

The actor was accused of using illegal arms which had an expired license. There was a case filed against him under the Arms Act. He had used a US-made revolver and a 22-bore rifle on that day. The prosecution has stated that the license of the firearms had expired on September 22, 1998.
