Salman Khan’s case verdict out: Jodhpur court acquits the actor in the Arms Act case

The Jodhpur court has pronounced its verdict in the illegal Arms Act against actor Salman Khan. The actor has been acquitted in the case as the court has given him a benefit of doubt.


The actor was accused of killing two endangered species in the 1998 Arms Act under the Wildlife Protection Act. Earlier, his case for poaching of two chinkaras had been dropped, but the main and final verdict was to be out today and the actor walked out of the court a free man.
The actor was accused of using illegal arms which had an expired license. There was a case filed against him under the Arms Act. He had used a US-made revolver and a 22-bore rifle on that day. The prosecution has stated that the license of the firearms had expired on September 22, 1998.
